Saturday Mr. Scottie B. and I went to the Museum of Science & Industry. They had a Dr. Seuss exhibit and it was AWESOME. It was amazing to see the history of how Theodor Seuss Geisel came to write children books. It brought Mr. SB and me back to our childhood. Along with the history of his famous books, it was so cool to see his other work.

After the museum we met up with friends at the bean in Millennium Park. We all took a Chicago water taxi, because we hadn't yet. And then went to Dick's Last Resort. Mr. SB and I took off and met different friends at Howl at the Moon. We danced, drank, and had a lot of fun.

Sunday we went to church and just spent time with each other. Very soon he'll be back in California, so we're just enjoying our time together :)

Here are a LOT of photos from this weekend.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Friends! I hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend. I spent the weekend with Mr. Scottie B. I decided to sleep in this morning and call into work. Which meant that I got to spend the morning cuddling with my love.

Prior to driving down on Saturday morning, I spent Friday afternoon with the family. Downtown Madison has a trick-or-treat event where businesses hand out candy. So my nephews were dressed up and we walked around collecting candy. There were some adorable costumes but obviously my nephews were the cutest.

I'm back from another magical weekend with Mr. Scottie B. We were kind of lazy all weekend :/ I guess that's just how some weekends go. Saturday we eventually headed downtown and went to The Skydeck. 103 floors up and I am afraid of heights (and I kind of have a fear of elevators). So I held Mr. SB's hand very tightly and when we got to the top and stepped out of the elevator, it was incredible. I am so glad we went. We could see the whole city and reminisced about each of our dates and memories. The weather was AMAZING, so after The Skydeck we ate dinner on the patio at Eatt

Then we jumped on a trolley and went to The Navy Pier. It was crowded and we got there just as the fireworks were starting. We wandered over to Oak Street Beach (I'm pretty sure that's the beach we were at, right Mr. SB?). We were unsure if we'd get in trouble for being there after dark, so we were kind of hidden behind a bush. Another couple walked onto the beach and didn't see us. I buried my head to keep from laughing since they were kissing (mature, I know). Then Mr. SB nudged me, I looked up and the gentleman got down on one knee and proposed! We clapped and congratulated them. It was so sweet. They told us they'd been together for two years and the beach was where they had their second date.

Sunday we went to church, had lunch with a friend, watched football, and napped (told you it was lazy). I had a hard time leaving this morning. Mr. SB and I only have three weekends left before he goes home to Cali. Here are photos from this weekend!

The Silent Comedy

On Sunday night Mr. Scottie B. and I went to see The Silent Comedy. Which is a band that Mr. SB shared with me recently via Facebook. I liked their music and their mustaches'. So when I saw they would be in Chicago I bought us tickets.

It was such an awesome show. They are talented musicians and performers. After their set we both talked with a few of the band members (Mr. SB more than me). They were cool dudes. I definitely recommend checking out their site and music!

Sorry for so many posts in a row. But I just wanted to update everyone. Mr. SB and I also saw The Big Year. We were both disappointed. It was not as funny as we anticipated, meh. Oh well.

I hope everyone is having a great week!

Navy Ball 2011

If your my Facebook friend, you've probably seen all these photos. I gave Laura the pictures and she tagged me in them :)

We arrived at the dinner late, but in time to eat and toast! We danced and had a few drinks. It such an awesome time to dress up and spend the night on Mr. SB's arm. He looked so handsome. Laura was his other date, she's a cool Navy Lady who looked beautiful. I realize I didn't take a whole lot of photos. Part of me regrets the lack of photos, but remembering the night I enjoyed myself and wasn't super concerned about it.

Thank you Mr. Scottie B. and Laura for being lovely dates and making the night unforgettable.

Oh blog. Here I am fallin' behind again. Last weekend I went to The Navy Ball with Mr. Scottie B. and Laura. But before I post about that...

Here are photos from a night I went to a little house party with Adriana. It was a friend's birthday and I baked red velvet cupcakes. It was a good time.

Well, I was posting pretty often and then...I went to the mall. I went to the mall like, SEVEN times in four days. I shopped till I dropped. I found a dress for the Navy Ball which is now only days away! And then I had to find shoes, jewelery, and a clutch. After buying my dress is when shopping seemed to take over my life, UGH. But after days of shopping I have ALMOST everything. I just need to go back and buy the bracelet and ring I saw.

Sorry to get all girl-y on you. I'm sure Mr. Scottie B. is so flippin' sick of hearing my talk about it all (thanks babe for putting up with me and my rambles).

More has happened besides all my shopping but I'm tired and don't want to bore you all. I'm going to finish this post, pour a small glass of wine, watch Parenthood, and go to bed! I REALLY want to wake up on time tomorrow!

I'll end this post with a cute photo of Ethan from Sunday. He is wearing a shirt that I bought him and he loved :) I know that kid well.
